Just a day after the Texas A&M baseball team lost in the College World Series Final to Tennessee, Aggies Head Coach Jim Schlossnagle has found a new home in Austin.

According to a report by 247 Longhorns’ Chip Brown, sources have leaked that Schlossnagle will be leaving to become the new head coach of the Texas Longhorns.

The breaking news comes after Schlossnagle seemed agitated by a reporter’s question about whether there was any interest in the Longhorns’ head coaching position.

Schlossnagle took the Aggies to new heights this past season, helping lead a team to its first College World Series runner-up finish.

Schlossnagle, who has a buyout of $2.7 million if he takes another job in the state of Texas, made the decision late Tuesday afternoon, the report said.

If the deal goes through, Schlossnagle will have finished his three seasons in College Station with a record of 135-62.
