SAN ANTONIO – Victor Wembanyama capped off a remarkable December on New Year’s Eve with an impressive performance, scoring 27 points, grabbing nine rebounds, dishing out five assists and blocking three shots in just 26 minutes of action in a blowout victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
He also made history as the NBA’s first player to tally 300 points, 100 rebounds, 50 blocks, 50 assists and 40 made three-pointers within a single month.

Despite these achievements, Wembanyama’s efforts have yet to secure him a spot in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game starting lineup next month in San Francisco.
The NBA released the first All-Star fan voting results on Thursday. The results revealed where Wembanyama stacks up alongside nine other top vote-getting frontcourt players in the Western Conference.

Among frontcourt players, Wembanyama sits at No. 5 with 928,501 votes, but he has plenty of worthy competition ahead of him such as Denver’s Nikola Jokic (1,422,121), Phoenix’s Kevin Durant (1,268,799) and the Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James (1,167,661) and Anthony Davis (999,540).
For Wembanyama to be a first-time All-Star (and first-time All-Star starter in the Western Conference), he must be one of three frontcourt players. The other two starters will be guards.
Three frontcourt players and two backcourt players will be chosen from each conference as All-Star game starters.
Fan voting will make up 50% of the final count while current player vote and media vote will each account for 25% of the final count.
Players and media members can only submit one ballot.
Two more rounds of fan votes will be shared on Jan. 9 and Jan. 16. NBA All-Star Game voting will end Monday, Jan. 20 at 10:59 p.m. central time.
All-Star game starters will be revealed on Thursday, Jan. 23 while reserves will hear their names called on Thursday, Jan. 30.
Last season, Wembanyama participated in the Rising Stars Game and skills competition at All-Star Weekend.
The 74th NBA All-Star game is set for Sunday, Feb. 16 at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
