SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Spurs center/forward Victor Wembanyama collected 928,501 votes and placed 5th in the West Team frontcourt in the first return of fan votes on Jan. 2.
In addition to almost doubling his vote count from last week to Thursday, Wembanyama (1,630,948 votes) also moved up to 4th among all Western Conference frontcourt players.

The only frontcourt players with more votes than Wembanyama: LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Nikola Jokic.

Fans account for 50% of the vote to decide All-Star starters. Players and a media panel account for 25% each.

The NBA said it will release a third update on NBA All-Star voting on Jan. 16.
On Jan. 23, the league will announce All-Star Game starters for the Western Conference and Eastern Conference.
