SAN ANTONIO – Throughout this season, the San Antonio Spurs have made it a point to sing “Happy Birthday” to their teammates during practice.
Rookie guard Stephon Castle shared a special moment before the Christmas Day game against the New York Knicks when the team sang “Happy Birthday” to his mom. The team then presented Castle with the NCAA National Championship ring he earned as a freshman at UConn last year.

Before the Spurs’ game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, the players again showed off their vocal ranges when they sang “Happy Birthday” to point guard Tre Jones.

The then-Birthday Boy scored three points, dished out five assists, grabbed two rebounds and tallied one steal in Wednesday’s loss to Milwaukee.
