SAN ANTONIO – The Smithson Valley football team collided with perennial powerhouse Aledo in the class 5A D1 state championship at the AT&T Stadium on Friday night.
The Rangers built an early 8-0 lead. However, the great start was quickly overshadowed as the Aledo Bearcats stormed back to win 51-8 for their 12th state title.
