Steele quarterback Chad Warner commits to UTEP

The dual-threat quarterback will bring a new level of talent to the Miners quarterback room

CIBOLO, Texas – After a standout junior season for the Steele Knights, quarterback Chad Warner has decided on where he’ll be playing his college football ahead of his senior season.

The 6-foot-3 dual-threat quarterback will be taking his talents to the University of Texas El Paso (UTEP) following his upcoming senior season.

In his announcement on X, Warner gives credit to his future head coach, Scotty Walden, for building a new era of UTEP Miner football. Stating that he’s excited to be part of the future of the Miners program.

Warner chose UTEP over interests from the Naval Academy and Grambling State University. Even with this decision, there’s still time for Warner to gain interest from other programs which could lead to him possibly changing his mind on his commitment in the future.
