SAN ANTONIO – Veteran forward and Spurs fan favorite Matt Bonner may have played his final game for the Silver & Black.
Bonner spoke about his free agency situation with Concord News Radio earlier this week.

Bonner discussed his future options, and when asked specifically about the Spurs had this to say:
“Obviously, currently they haven’t signed me so unless something changes, I will probably not be with the Spurs,” Bonner said during the interview.
Bonner has been on the Spurs roster since the 2006-07 season and been a part of two NBA championship teams in San Antonio.
He led the NBA in 3-point shooting percentage in 2011 and played a valuable role off the bench for nearly a decade, but his playing time declined last season.
Bonner played in only 30 games last season and averaged about seven minutes per game.
Bonner became a free agent, but the Spurs have gone in a different direction, adding several new players to the roster this summer in an effort to get younger and more athletic.
Bonner said during the radio interview he wants to continue playing and hopes for another opportunity to play in the NBA.
Over the past 10 years, Bonner has become one of the more beloved players on the roster.
His red hair and beard bought on the nicknames “The Red Rocket” and “Red Mamba.”
If Bonner does not return, his experience will be missed, but more than that, his relationship with the fans and city.
