SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs held a moment of silence for the victims of Sunday morning’s mass shooting at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs.
The lights at the AT&T Center were also turned down before the Spurs game against the Phoenix Suns.

"The Spurs family is deeply saddened by the horrific incident today in Sutherland Springs. Our thoughts and sympathies are with the victims and their loved ones,” Spurs public-address announcer Jonathan Sanford said. "We ask you to please observe a moment of silence to honor our neighbors who have been affected by this act of violence.”

The Spurs and the NBA also took to Twitter to offer their condolences to the victims. Suns players also stood arm-in-arm during the moment of silence.

At least 26 people were killed and 20 more wounded when the suspect, identified as Devin Patrick Kelley, walked into the church and began shooting during Sunday morning services.
Kelley died a short time after the mass shooting, authorities said.
Sutherland Springs is located about 31 miles from the AT&T Center.
