A deputy was arrested and is accused of multiple charges after assaulting an inmate at the Bexar County Detention Center and attempting to conceal evidence, according to an arrest affidavit.

Thirteen people died inside the Bexar County jail in 2024, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

JoAnn Harrison, the mother of a 24-year-old inmate inside of the Bexar County Detention Center is pleading for her son with multiple disabilities to be released.
