A federal judge has ruled that the government is liable for a nighttime collision involving a snowmobiler who crashed into a parked Black Hawk helicopter in Massachusetts and awarded him $3.3 million in damages.

A Massachusetts man wants the government to pay $9.5 million after being badly injured in a crash with a Black Hawk helicopter.

An unused lifeboat, a door and other fragments believed to be from a Japanese army helicopter have been found after the Black Hawk carrying 10 crew members was presumed to have crashed at sea.

The military says “black boxes” have been recovered from two U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopters that crashed last week in Kentucky, killing all nine soldiers aboard.

The military says the service members who died in a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter crash ranged in age from 23 to 36 and were from seven states.

The Tennessee National Guard says one of their Black Hawk helicopters crashed in Alabama, killing two crew members.
