A man was swept away by a current while saving two girls who fell into a Houston bayou.

A Houston-area teenager has died after the vehicle she was riding in plunged off a bridge and fell into the Brays Bayou on Monday afternoon, according to media reports.

HOUSTON The body of a child found in a Houston area bayou has been identified as 2-year-old Maliyah Bass, her family confirms in a KPRC report. KPRC2, KSAT12s sister station, said Bass family confirmed that the Harris County Medical Examiner identified Bass body and notified them.
