The PNC Championship announced Thursday that Woods will play with 11-year-old son Charlie in the tournament that has paired major champions with their sons since 1995, the year before the 44-year-old Woods turned pro. “I can't tell you how excited I am to be playing with Charlie in our first official tournament together,” Woods said. The PNC Championship is Dec. 19-20 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando in central Florida. It allowed Fuzzy Zoeller to play with his daughter, Gretchen, and Arnold Palmer to play with his grandson, Sam Saunders. Until deciding to play in the PNC Championship, it was thought Woods ended the year at the Masters.

I just wanted him to be there.”That dark evening, Etoy McGarity said her husband had a bad feeling. “She was screaming and crying, and I was trying to stay strong and to calm her down,” Etoy McGarity said. Rain showers fell Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, on the northwestern edges of fire-ravaged California but forecasters warned residents to not be fooled: a new round of hot, dry and windy weather is expected by the weekend. PG&E initially warned that approximately 21,000 customers in three counties would lose power beginning Saturday evening but expanded the potential shutoff when the forecast changed. A drier California means plants are more flammable. The threatened marijuana growing area is in the Emerald Triangle, a three-county corner of Northern California that by some estimates is the nation’s largest cannabis-producing region. Each farm has crops worth half a million dollars or more and many are within days or weeks of harvest.

“This is a stubborn fire,” Angeles National Forest spokesman Andrew Mitchell said. At the time, many Southern California ground crews and a fleet of retardant- and water-dropping aircraft were assigned to multiple record-breaking blazes in the northern part of the state. At 165 square miles (427 square kilometers), the Bobcat Fire is one of the largest ever in Los Angeles County after burning for more than two weeks.
