“Jurassic World: Dominion” took a mighty bite out of the box office with $143.4 million in North American ticket sales according to studio estimates Sunday.

Filming on the new “Jurassic World” movie at Pinewood Studios in the U.K. has been suspended for two weeks because of COVID-19 cases on set. Director Colin Trevorrow tweeted Wednesday that there were “a few” positive tests for the virus. A spokesperson for Universal Pictures said they were informed of the positive tests last night and that all tested negative this morning. “Those who initially tested positive are currently self-isolating, as are those who they have come into contact with.”On Tuesday, Universal said that the release of “Jurassic World: Dominion” was being delayed a year to June 2022. Last month the U.K. shoot on “ The Batman,” a Warner Bros. film, also halted production because of a positive case.

Hollywood is ready to roll cameras on one of its first major studio films following industry-wide shutdowns due to the coronavirus, as Jurassic World: Dominion will resume production in the U.K. the week of July 6, ET can confirm. The Jurassic World threequel began filming in late February -- as revealed by director Colin Trevorrow's "Day One" snapshot -- before shutting down in early March amid the still-ongoing global pandemic. Crew are verified that they have been tested by a bespoke RFID system that registers when a crew member has been temperature tested. Jurassic World: Dominion will see Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprise their roles from the first two films, alongside Jurassic Park OGs Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum. The Jurassic World franchise is currently in its "Man creates dinosaurs, dinosaurs eat man" phase, with the forthcoming third installment hopefully set to show, at long last, women inheriting the Earth. 2018's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ended with dinosaurs unleashed upon our world, teeing up one hell of a follow-up. Now, Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow -- who is returning to helm JW3 and co-wrote the screenplay with Battle at Big Rock's Emily Carmichael -- has unveiled the movie's title. "Day One," Trevorrow captioned a photo from set which reveals the official subtitle for the threequel: Jurassic World: Dominion. Jurassic World: Dominion is set to open in theaters on June 11, 2021.
