She was the student body president, president of the Student Government Association and also the treasurer of the Delta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. Long term, I want to run for office, said La-Tieka Sims, Texas A&M University San Antonio graduate. I really want to push for women and especially women of color, said Sims. It baffles me sometimes about how long it has taken for even our city council to look the way it looks.

She said her mom was born and raised in Mexico and her dads family comes from Puerto Rico. Her mother, a dual language teacher, also instilled in her the urge to go into education. She said its why she is pursuing her dream of being a high school Spanish teacher and is getting her masters in education at Trinity University. Camila has all of her masters program at Trinity University fully funded through a couple of scholarships, one being the Charles Butt Scholarship Raising Texas Teachers program.

Kaitlyn is continuing her education at UTSA and she hopes to be on the forefront of research. I just I really love learning and I think I would be very tedious. Kaitlyn is currently doing research on a drug called Artemisinin -- another antimalarial drug like hydrochloroquine -- and she hopes her research helps the world fight against devastating diseases."

Read full article: College Graduates 2020: Jeffrey MartĆnezJeffrey MartĆnez said his dream began at a very young age and was accomplished in the fall of 2013, however, MartĆnez said something was still missing. āLiterally, I graduated college on a Saturday, and I started teaching (at Harlandale High School) that Tuesday right after,ā MartĆnez said. MartĆnez is a high school math teacher. āI sponsored the class of 2016 at Harlandale,ā MartĆnez said. āOnly one other person has received their Masters, and she was also a math teacher and a high school counselor.

My mother is actually a nurse and seeing everything that she did really inspired me, Cataline said. Rhonda Cataline has always been drawn to the medical field so, when she joined the Navy as enlisted, she was a hospital corpsman. After I graduated, I got commissioned into the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps, said Cataline. So, it was a really special experience to learn at the Incarnate Word.

Its kind of like the joke that I went from studying man to studying machine, Moore said. Matt Moore is 27-years-old and he knows the campus very well, having first graduated from UTSA seven years ago with a degree in anthropology. Moore now hopes to take what he learned from UTSA and help the local community. Ill be working as a software engineer for H-E-B, working on their curbside and delivery, Moore said.
