Community for Life Foundation executive director Dr. Lawrence Scott joined KSAT 12 anchor Max Massey to discuss the nonprofit’s mission of helping San Antonio’s young people to pursue their own mission, its more than 20-year record of service and how students can apply for scholarship money through the organization Sunday morning on Leading SA.

Since 2001, the Community for Life foundation has provided food to those in need, mentorship to the young, life skill training for adults, and thousands of dollars every year to help the future leaders of our community.

SAN ANTONIO – The Community for Life Foundation scholarship has been helping students reach their goals for 20 years. The nonprofit assists students with the costs of higher education and has given over half a million dollars in scholarships. There have been 260 recipients in the San Antonio, but the nonprofit hopes to reach more students. “We can help you and come along side you and help you focus on your education,” said Scott. Despite the loss, Mathews continued to press forward with his dream.
