Some found patients did not benefit from receiving convalescent plasma. āInitially, it was a larger group of patients that could get convalescent plasma. AdThe new recommendations say hospitals should use convalescent plasma with high levels of COVID-19 antibodies before a patient is intubated or placed on a ventilator. Weāre learning so much, and thereās this thirst for finding the best therapies for patients,ā Gomez said.
