A San Antonio police detective fired in 2019 after being charged with family violence has lost his bid to be reinstated after an arbitrator this week said the evidence in the case supported the chief’s decision to terminate him.

Months after a special prosecutor agreed not to move forward with family violence and burglary charges against a fired San Antonio police detective, she was hired to represent the alleged victim, his mistress, in a separate case, the KSAT 12 Defenders confirmed Friday.

After attorneys for fired San Antonio police detective Daniel Pue attempted to paint his mistress as malicious and out to ruin his career on Friday, attorneys for the city of San Antonio presented one piece of evidence after another showing how she tried do the opposite.

Daniel Pue was a good detective with a messy personal life, and when those two worlds collided, he was unfairly targeted by his own department, Pue stated in evidence presented Thursday during the third day of his arbitration hearing.
