A retired professional basketball player, an NFL alum, a legendary pioneer in professional baseball, a WNBA difference maker, and a historic city championship football team are the five honorees to be inducted into the San Antonio ISD Athletic Hall of Fame.

Students will be able to graduate with a high school diploma, associate degree and a nursing certification at no cost.

About 20 seniors at Fox Tech High School are one step closer to becoming professionals in the medical field.

SAN ANTONIO – The legacy of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg lives on at the Judge Andy Mireles Law Magnet School at Fox Tech High School. Justice Ginsburg reinforced what Brown said she’s always believed. “I wanted to make sure that people are getting treated fairly and that people are receiving justice,” Brown said, which is why she chose the law magnet school. Jennifer Casanova, their teacher and law magnet school coordinator, said she’s proud of both their accomplishments in mock trial and mock legislation competitions. Later at a private reception for the Supreme Court Society’s teachers institute, Casanova said she was “blessed and honored” to meet Justice Ginsburg.

SAN ANTONIO – Eduardo Ramos is graduating at the top of his class. He’s the valedictorian at Fox Tech High School, but he said he is already excited about his next chapter — medical school. “I’ve been in cross country, I’ve been in track, I’ve been in archery, I’ve been in soccer,” said Ramos. “They added soccer to Fox Tech,” said Ramos. So, it was pretty cool.”Jose Castro is a law and world history teacher at Fox Tech High School, but he also coaches cross country and track.

SAN ANTONIO – U.S. News released its 2020 best high school rankings this week, and one San Antonio school made it in the top 100 schools in the nation.
