Just like the residents of Halloween Town sing in “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” “This is Halloween!”

Get in that fall feeling with free movies in San Antonio. Local parks and plazas host free movies throughout the holidays for locals to enjoy.

There are at least five different locations where you can tip-toe through the corn fields this fall with some mazes as close as San Antonio itself or as far away as Marble Falls.

Every millennial’s favorite Halloween movie, “Hocus Pocus,” is finally getting a sequel with Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy all reprising their roles as the iconic Sanderson sisters.

We know that September just started and it’s still technically summer, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start to get excited about Halloween!

Disney+ released the trailer for Hocus Pocus 2 on Tuesday.

Actor and musician Larry Bagby, who played "Ice" on the Halloween classic "Hocus Pocus," helps Mike and Fiona make Dead Man's Toes, Dead Man's Toes and William's Wormy Dirt Bed Cake from "The Unofficial Hocus Pocus Cookbook."

Did someone say Halloween movies?

That’s because the Sanderson Sisters, also known as Winifred, Mary and Sarah, from the classic Halloween movie “Hocus Pocus,” are back from the dead and ready to suck the lives from all of the children in Salem. OK, they’re really not back from the dead, but Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker reunited and put on their costumes and wigs so they could portray the Sanderson Sisters, much to the delight of “Hocus Pocus” fans everywhere. Fans have wanted a second “Hocus Pocus” for years now, and there is reportedly a sequel in the works for Disney+. It seems this reunion wasn’t for the rumored sequel, but fans will take what they can get. Midler and Parker both shared photos of the trio in their “Hocus Pocus” costumes on Instagram, and fans everywhere collectively started to freak out at the thought of a reunion.

Our Jen Tobias-Struski caught up with actor Larry Bagby, known as the character “Ice” in the 1993 iconic film. “Bette was intimidating, but she was very nice to us,” Bagby said. “There was a day we were filming in the house, we were up in the cages, waiting on the side, I pulled my camera out and all of a sudden I noticed Bette Midler noticed my camera, she asked ‘who’s got this camera? '”Larry was told by the director to put the camera away after Bette caught filming without permission. “I think I still have that clip when she caught me,” Bagby said.

There are so many Halloween movies to choose from when it comes to celebrating the spooky holiday, but none of them come close to the magic that is "Hocus Pocus."

Freeform’s popular “31 Nights of Halloween” movie schedule has been released and will feature classics like “Hocus Pocus,” “Ghostbusters” and “The Addams Family.”Last year Freeform, formerly known as ABC family, played “Hocus Pocus” nearly 30 times but that number was slashed to a mere 14 for 2020. SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio’s newest movie venue has added more movies to the lineup for The Drive-In at Fiesta Texas. “Rooftop Cinema will host $5 ‘Community Screenings’ for those impacted by COVID-19 and also those in support of Black Lives Matter. 100% of the proceeds from the first film shown every Tuesday will be donated directly to the San Antonio Food Bank and to the Black Lives Matter organization,” according to cinema officials. All films notated with “Summerween Weekend” in the list above will include Trunk-or-Treat car decoration contests each with prizes for best car décor and costumes, according to Rooftop Cinema Officials.
