South Texas lawmakers want to ensure mail carriers can take necessary breaks from the heat without retaliation.

One horseback riding center in Helotes is changing its scheduling to keep its horses safe in the extreme heat. Owners at the barn said they're training students on skills inside the barn during riding lessons too.
