San Antonio’s Historic Design and Review Commission granted Indiana-based White Lodging final approval to develop a 10-story hotel along South Alamo Street near La Villita and Hemisfair.

The new Thompson San Antonio hotel, located downtown, shares a trio of fancy cocktails that can be found at the new Landrace restaurant and poolside bar, Cenote Pool Deck. Landrace San Antonio is now open on the bottom floor of the hotel.

SEGUIN, Texas – The historic Magnolia Hotel in Seguin, rumored to be haunted, is offering overnight stays as a bed-and-breakfast. Owners Jim and Erin Ghedi have been working to restore the nearly 180-year-old hotel to its former glory for several years and also offer tours. Owner Erin said she knows the story of quite a few of them and gives insight into their history during hotel tours. Anyone interested in touring the Magnolia Hotel can do so starting in October. The Magnolia Hotel is located at 203 Crockett Street in Seguin.

A Belgian hotel is offering its solo guests a fish for companionship for around $4 per night. The Hotel Charleroi Airport has been running the fish rental service for several years, but has only recently caught peoples' attention after a social media post went viral. The idea was to surprise our guests, as we always try to do," hotel manager David Dillen told The Independent. They smile, they take pictures to put on social media. Dillen also put animal cruelty concerns to rest by adding that the hotel takes "very good care of our fish."
