Residents in a Northeast Side community said approximately 100 tires have been illegally dumped in their neighborhood.

One day after KSAT’s “Know My Neighborhood” spotlighted an illegal dumping area, a South San resident shared an update along Quintana Road.

Residents say they’re fed up with this smelly and unsightly situation on Quintana Road, but the city says it struggles to enforce local illegal dumping laws.

The City of San Antonio's Solid Waste Management Department said it is cleaning up streets and is also pushing for surveillance and education, as well.

More than 100 people have successfully completed the program and received their Commercial Driver's License. Of those graduates, 76 have been hired as full-time employees by the City's Solid Waste Management Department.
