James Cotter, the longtime business partner of Brad Simpson, made his first court appearance on Thursday morning since his release on bond in November.

A judge granted permission for James Cotter — who is out on bond on charges related to the arrest of his long-time business partner Brad Simpson — to travel out of state this past weekend, according to court records.

James Cotter, the long-time business partner of Brad Simpson, was formally charged Monday in the case of missing Olmos Park mom Suzanne Clark Simpson.

Brad Simpson’s brother, Bart Simpson, spoke about the case in front of cameras on Friday for the first time.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said James Cotter, the longtime business partner of Brad Simpson, was officially released from the Bexar County Adult Detention Center on Friday afternoon.

James Cotter has bond reduced from $1,000,000 to $100,000.
