The 9th Annual Head for the Cure 5K run/walk returns this month to raise awareness and funds for those in the community with brain tumors.

Have you participated in the annual Head for the Cure - San Antonio 5K before? Former KSAT News Director Jim Boyle is the inspiration behind San Antonio’s Head for the Cure 5K. They worked to bring Head for the Cure 5K to San Antonio to raise money toward brain cancer research and raise awareness about the devastating disease. “The Head for the Cure Race is very important to us,” said Stephanie Serna, KSAT12 anchor. While my immediate family has not been directly impacted by brain cancer, we have been impacted by many types of cancers.
