After nearly nine months of questions about whether state lawmakers would move forward on a so-called school voucher plan, the KSAT Explains team decided to look at how public schools in Texas are funded.

Trustees for the Northside Independent School District approved a compensation package that includes a pay raise and a one-time retention bonus for all employees for the 2023-2024 school year.

Dr. John Craft, the current Killeen ISD superintendent, will replace Dr. Brian Woods who announced that he will retire at the end of this school year.
