A group of educators are hoping to diversify the teacher pipeline and inspire San Antonio students along the way.

As a kick-off to Teacher Appreciation Week, two teachers from KIPP Texas-San Antonio got quite a surprise.

KIPP Texas officials announced Monday that students will return to class from winter break one day later than originally scheduled so that staff, students and families can get tested for COVID-19.

The recommendation marks the latest development in a saga that began in February 2018, when Feinberg was fired by KIPP. The hearing did not examine two other allegations of sexual harassment by two separate adult KIPP alumni. This proposal for decision does not change the circumstances of Mike Feinbergs departure from KIPP, said a KIPP spokesperson, referring to the recommendation. Details of one of the sexual harassment claims emerged in KIPPs court filings in response to the suit.
