Katie Uhlaender of the U.S. was sixth in her final world championships. AdThe menās world championships saw a comeback as well, though nowhere near as big of one time-wise as Hermannās rally. The world championships continue Saturday and Sunday with the women's monobob and four-man bobsled events.

In the menās race, Russia's Alexander Tretiakov is the leader after two runs, finishing Thursday in 1:53.30. AdTretiakov is seeking his second world title, after winning in 2013. Austin Florian is the top American in the menās race, holding 10th place at the midway mark.
