A Tennessee church has released a health update on its lead pastor who survived a plane crash in Yoakum on Tuesday.

A small plane crash in Texas has left four members of a Tennessee church dead and the lead pastor injured.

A burn ban is in effect in Lavaca County in an effort to help prevent wildfires.

The EF1 tornado in Lavaca County had maximum winds of 110 mph and was on the ground for eight minutes.

Lavaca County Sheriff's Deputy Dakota Moreno died Dec. 22, 2020 after being involved in a motorcycle crash. A Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office deputy died in a San Antonio hospital Tuesday a day after he crashed on a motorcycle, the sheriff’s office confirmed. Deputy Dakota Moreno, 24, died at Brooke Army Medical Center where he had been airlifted for treatment. The Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office announced the deputy’s death on its official Facebook page with the following statement:“It is with great sadness that we announce that Deputy Moreno has passed away from his injuries. Please continue to pray for Dakota’s family and colleagues as we mourn his passing.”

LAVACA COUNTY, Texas A massive pressure vessel could cause some traffic delays in Lavaca and Gonzales Counties today as it makes its way to Victoria. The pressure vessel reportedly weighs about 291,000 pounds, thats more than 145 tons. Lavaca County officials warned drivers to expect delays as the vessel is transported through Lavaca County on SH 95, through Moulton to FM 3435, then to US90A at Shiner and to Gonzales County. The vessels final destination is Victoria. A pressure vessel is a container that holds gases or liquids at a pressure substantially different than the pressure outside the container.
