Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Books & Media announced Monday that the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter's memoir, āRememberings,ā will come out June 1. I had great fun writing it over the past few years,ā OāConnor said in a statement. O'Connor, who turns 54 this week, is also known for the albums āThe Lion and the Cobraā and āI Do Not Want What I Havenāt Got." This fall, she released a cover of the late Mahalia Jackson's āTrouble of the World.ā

Moreno recalled how, in the middle of his prepared speech, gospel singer Mahalia Jackson prompted Dr. King to "tell them about your dream." There was a moment in her 60's, Moreno recalled, when she felt "depressed" and hadn't done a movie in quite some time.
