The highly anticipated Texas primary is less than a month away, and voters can take to the polls as early as next week.

By now, you probably know that 2024 is an important election year. The General Election is on Nov. 5, but there will be opportunities to vote before that.

Groups focusing on registering voters ahead of the Jan. 31 deadline for the March Primary have said their efforts have taken on a greater significance.

VIA Metropolitan Transit is offering free bus and van rides on the March 3 Primary Election Day. Passengers just need to show a valid voter registration card to the bus or van operator to ride. Bus passengers can plan their trip to vote through the VIA goMobile app. VIAtrans customers need to be registered and must schedule their trip in advance by phone or online.
