For the third time in the last four years, the D'Hanis softball team will play for the UIL Class 1A State Championship.

After falling behind Dodd City 8-1 in the bottom of the fourth, the D'Hanis softball team couldn't quite complete a rally and falls short of defending their 2019 title in this year's UIL Class A state championship game.

Pitcher Marissa Santos only allowed 3 hits all game, and the Cowgirls' bats came alive for a big third inning, as D'Hanis defeated Gail Borden County 4-1 to return to the UIL Class A State championship game.
