Multiple emergency crews have been investigating reports of a possible gas leak in the unincorporated areas of Guadalupe County, between New Braunfels and McQueeney overnight.

Exotic animal vendors will be on hand at the Texas Reptile Expo in McQueeney in September.

Service was restored Thursday to 88% of customers in Seguin and McQueeney that were affected by a natural gas outage, CenterPoint Energy officials said.

With more than 4,300 customers in Seguin and McQueeney cut off from natural gas service since Tuesday because of a damaged pipeline, restaurants with gas appliances found themselves either struggling to stay open or having to close.

CenterPoint Energy customers in Seguin and McQueeney should get their natural gas service restored by Friday, utility officials said Wednesday.

The City of Seguin is experiencing a natural gas outage after what city leaders described as a “system crash” with a main line that provides gas service to the city.
