U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at a port of entry in Laredo seized a huge shipment of methamphetamine Monday.

A 32-year-old San Antonio woman was sentenced to more than eight years in prison after she was found guilty of possession with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine, according to the United States Attorney’s Office.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Del Rio Port of Entry seized methamphetamine valued at $11.9 million, the largest in the port’s history, according to CBP officials.
