Monica Ramirez Alcántara, the chairwoman the Democratic Party for Bexar County, announced her resignation days after Donald Trump was elected 47th president of the United States in a comfortable victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.

A candidate for judge of one of Bexar County’s state district courts listed herself as having gathered signatures from voters on many of the same days she was pictured on social media taking part in a cruise along the coasts of California and Mexico, records obtained by KSAT Investigates show.

Roughly 16 people, including the Democrat and Republican party chairs, took up the offer for tours around the department, as staff members explained various processes and showed examples of the polling and tabulation equipment.
