Team KSAT raised over $30,000 last year for cancer research, treatment, and prevention.

Team KSAT raised over $20,000 last year for cancer research, treatment, and prevention. This year, the team is on a mission to exceed that goal.

Team KSAT has surpassed their fundraising goal and have raised over $17,000.

The men at KSAT have surpassed their goal of raising $10,000 during No Shave November. The money raised will benefit ten cancer non-profit organizations.

No Shave November is a web-based nonprofit that raises funds that goes toward cancer research, treatment, and prevention.

No Shave November is a month long journey and the men at KSAT are ready to put the razor down for a good cause.

Either way, The Boardroom Salon for Men is ready to help. “Is it ok to shave my beard with a razor?”It’s best to trim you beard down first with an electric trimmer. “How can I avoid cuts and bumps?”After trimming the beard down, place a warm towel on your face. That can irritate the skin faster, especially if you have sensitive skin. Many guys have sensitive skin on the neck, so that spot might be especially vulnerable if you go against the grain.

SAN ANTONIO – The KSAT team, which consists of 13 members of our on-air talent, have done an incredible job raising money for cancer prevention, research and education this season as they participated in No Shave November. The No-Shave November campaign has raised more than $10 million to fight cancer and the KSAT team came in at No. 4 in the U.S. with $9,852 raised overall through donations to team members and the organization as a whole. Of the 13 participants on KSAT’s No Shave November team, Max Massey, Mike Osterhage, Mark Austin and Justin Horne all raised more than $1,000 in donations. “KSAT viewers never fail to show their love and support and they’ve proven that, yet again, in the fight against cancer,” Austin said.

The American Cancer Society predicts that, by the end of this year, there will have been 782 statewide cases of testicular cancer and 39 deaths. “My paternal grandfather actually died from testicular cancer before I was born. Here are some quick facts from the American Cancer Society:The incidence rate of testicular cancer has been increasing in the US and many other countries for several decades. Testicular cancer is not common: about 1 of every 250 males will develop testicular cancer at some point during their lifetime. Because testicular cancer usually can be treated successfully, a man’s lifetime risk of dying from this cancer is very low: about 1 in 5,000.

We’re joining forces with No-Shave November and Movember to raise funds to support cancer prevention, research and education. It's a web-based, nonprofit organization devoted to growing cancer awareness and raising funds to support cancer prevention, research, and education. It focuses on the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. So I this is an opportunity to raise awareness for all forms of cancer and help raise money for research.
