SAN ANTONIO – A man stole merchandise from the Macy’s store at North Star Mall, threatened an employee with a cutting instrument, then ran off -- and investigators are still working to identify and arrest him, authorities said Wednesday. The mall robbery took place at 4:15 p.m. Jan. 11 at 7400 San Pedro Ave., in San Antonio. Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case. To be eligible for a reward, tips must be submitted directly to Crime Stoppers.

SAN ANTONIO – A restaurant inside North Star Mall was cited by health inspectors last month, after moldy and spoiled celery and jalapeños were discovered inside a walk-in cold storage unit. Bistro Thai, located at 7400 San Pedro Avenue, received a score of 83 and was ordered to go through a reinspection following the Oct. 19 probe. The artist died of heart failure Monday evening at his home in Austin. SAN ANTONIO – A teenager has been arrested after an alleged fight inside North Star Mall led to the stabbings of two teens. Anthony Rodriguez, 18, was arrested after police questioned several witnesses to the Tuesday night incident, according to San Antonio police. The suspect was seen running from the mall with a group of males amid the chaos after the stabbings near Forever 21, according to police. During the fight, a suspect pulled a knife and stabbed two men, ages 17 and 18, police said. After the stabbings, the two groups ran throughout mall property, both inside and outside, SAPD Sgt.
