As of mid-morning, the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office was still working to obtain a positive identification of the two men.

Fire crews, working for 36 hours straight, handled a number of house fires that started in a fireplace. “There (have) been a lot of these fires,” Philipp said. While there are widespread water outages in the city, firefighters were able to tap into a working fire hydrant on that street.

They found the man who was suffering from two gunshot wounds in his back. However, a bar patron told KSAT 12 he noticed bouncers escorting a man out of the bar shortly before the gunfire erupted. He said he and everyone else ran toward the back of the bar for safety. At least one other car in the parking lot also appeared to have been hit by the gunfire.
