Our Lady of the Lake University threw a massive celebration for their softball team on Monday afternoon for winning the NAIA World Series.

The nation’s top-ranked Our Lady of the Lake softball team is back on the big stage for the second year in a row.

Rachel Dziuba is an OLLU graduate who played soccer and was student body president during her time there.

The nation’s top ranked OLLU softball team (53-3) is headed back to the NAIA World Series.

The No. 1 Our Lady of the Lake University softball team brings a nation-leading 43-game winning streak into the RRAC tournament, where the Saints are set out to defend their crown.

The University of Texas at San Antonio recently announced that it will hold in-person commencement ceremonies for graduates, but guests will not be allowed. San Antonio College will have its commencement in person at 11 a.m. on May 8 at the San Antonio College campus. University of the Incarnate WordGraduates will be honored with in-person, outdoor graduation ceremonies on May 7-8 at Benson Stadium.

Many college students in the San Antonio area have decided to attend classes on campus. About a month into the fall semester, school officials say they’re keeping a close eye on the situation to make sure the COVID-19 numbers stay as low as possible. “(We) have people take their own temperature at home before they attempt to come to campus, whether they are faculty, staff or students. At St. Mary’s University, students and staff members must also electronically complete a health check and report any confirmed cases, which are then reflected on the school’s site. Since the beginning of the semester at St. Mary’s University, there have been 11 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with five still active between faculty and students.
