Jan Kubis, the United Nations special coordinator for Lebanon, and U.N. peacekeeping chief Jean-Pierre Lacroix briefed Tuesdays virtual council meeting. Kubis urged the rapid formation of a new government following Mondays resignation of Prime Minister Hassan Diab and his Cabinet.
