Guerra Garcia fled the scene in a gray 2009 Saturn Vue SUV with Texas license plate BT2X152.

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are searching for a man following a shooting on the city’s South Side late Sunday night. According to police, two men were working together when they got into a heated argument about money being owed. Police said that’s when the 28-year-old suspect pulled out a gun and shot the 25-year-old victim twice in the back, just before fleeing. The victim was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center in stable condition, where he is expected to recover. SAPD said they do not have a description of the suspect’s vehicle, but did say they do know the identity of the shooter.

The crash happened around 2 a.m. in the 2100 block of Pleasanton Road, not far from Southwest Military Drive on the city’s South Side. According to police, the female driver was heading down Pleasanton Road when she swerved to avoid hitting a homeless man walking in the street. Police said the woman avoided the man, but that she crashed into the corner of a nearby building. The San Antonio Police Department and San Antonio Fire Department both answered the call.

Juan Ramon Ramirez-Mencia, 35, died of blunt force injuries sustained in the crash around 9 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Loop 1604 and Pleasanton Road. According to the BCSO, one vehicle was traveling eastbound and the other vehicle was traveling westbound when one of them came into the other lane, causing them to crash head-on. A man and a woman were taken to Southwest General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officials are still working to determine if excessive speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.

SAN ANTONIO – Area firefighters battled a massive trailer fire in South Bexar County overnight, the Bexar County Sheriff's office said. The fire was called in just before 2 a.m. at a home in the 350 block of Hallmark Path, not far from Highway 281 and Pleasanton Road and just south of Loop 1604. Emergency responders said they arrived to find the trailer fully-involved. The Bexar County Fire Department said they were cautious with the fire because part of the structure collapsed.
