A man charged in connection with the shooting deaths of Savanah Soto, 18, and Matthew Guerra, 22, in late 2023 will have a bond reduction hearing on Monday.

Three suspects in the shooting deaths of pregnant teen Savanah Soto and Matthew Guerra were indicted by a Bexar County grand jury on Wednesday.

Myrta Romanos, 47, was arrested on Wednesday on charges of tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse. Police said the gun used in the slayings belonged to her.

The gun used to kill Soto and Guerra belonged to Romanos, police officials said at a Wednesday news conference.

The gun that was believed to have been used to shoot and kill Savanah Soto and Matthew Guerra was recovered at the home of the two suspects charged in the case, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said.

Matthew Guerra's father says they won't accept anything less than the death penalty.
