Just over a year after being shot in the face during a police pursuit, a San Antonio Police Department SWAT Officer is sharing why he decided to put the uniform back on.

After several police shootings in the past two weeks, the city and Bexar County will bring together law enforcement and other leaders to discuss the recent violence and come up with plans to address it.

A spokesperson for the San Antonio Police Department announced Tuesday that both officers who were shot during a standoff Thursday have been released from the hospital.
