Texans receiver Tank Dell has been released after an overnight stay in the hospital and was traveling back to Houston on Sunday after sustaining a severe knee injury in Saturday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Chiefs trainer Rick Burkholder defended his medical staff’s response to the eye injury sustained by Ravens linebacker Kyle Van Noy last week.

The Chiefs are putting wide receiver Marquise Brown on injured reserve because of the dislocated shoulder joint he sustained in the preseason against Jacksonville.
