San Antonio City City Council on Thursday unanimously approved the renaming of Rosedale Park’s Pavilion 2 to honor the late San Antonio boxer Robert “Pikin” Quiroga.

The 42nd annual Tejano Conjunto Festival is returning this weekend with more than 20 of Texas’ best Conjunto bands and performers.

Texas Grandparents Raising Grandchildren is a local non-profit with a goal to help all grandparents put in situations where they need to raise their grandchildren.

Preparations were underway early Friday morning for the 41st Tejano Conjunto Festival, which will take place this weekend at Rosedale Park.
