Investigators say the two men were sitting inside a parked car with Garner when an argument broke out. Police say Garner then pulled out a handgun and began shooting.

Police say the robbery happened on Dec. 11 at the Spirit Pit Stop, located at 1214 Interstate Highway 25 South. Officers say a man wandered around the store and waited for customers to leave before approaching the counter as if he was making a purchase. The man then produced a handgun from his hoodie pocket and pointed it at the store clerk, police said. The man left on foot behind the business after he took cash from the store clerk.

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Officials with the San Marcos Police Department released a statement Tuesday about officer Paul Beller who was struck by a vehicle while responding to a call on I-35 back in March. SAN MARCOS, Texas The driver of a pickup truck was hit and killed by a train Sunday morning in San Marcos, the San Marcos Police Department said. Joe Antonio Quintero Sr., 80, was driving a red 2006 Toyota Tundra pickup truck around 9 a.m. when he was hit and killed by a train at the McCarthy Lane railroad track intersection. Witnesses told police that the train crossing arms were down when the truck went through the intersection. Initial reports showed that all components of the crossing arms were functioning properly, police said. The SMPD Collision Investigation Team is now working with Amtrak to investigate the collision.
