SAN ANTONIO – A restaurant on the city’s North Side was cited last month after a health inspector found food stored in a cooler that was not working. Tokyo Steak House, located in the 9400 block of San Pedro Avenue, received a score of 84 and was forced to toss out vegetables and eggs being held in the cooler, city health records show. The restaurant was also written up after evidence of “roach activity” was found near the establishment’s hot tea table. SAN ANTONIO – A restaurant inside North Star Mall was cited by health inspectors last month, after moldy and spoiled celery and jalapeños were discovered inside a walk-in cold storage unit. Bistro Thai, located at 7400 San Pedro Avenue, received a score of 83 and was ordered to go through a reinspection following the Oct. 19 probe. The bistro was also cited for storing raw animal foods above ready-to-eat foods, health records show. SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are searching for two people who reportedly pulled a man out of his truck on the city’s North Side and beat him. The man called 911 around 5:30 a.m. Thursday, at first saying he had been the victim of a carjacking. Police said he told them that two men had pulled him from his pickup truck and hit him in the head, possibly taking off in his truck. Officers searched the area and found his pickup two blocks away, still in the parking lot where the attack reportedly happened. Crime scene investigators took fingerprints from the truck and searched it for evidence.

SAN ANTONIO Marriott announced Monday that it will be closing two call center locations later this year, including one located in San Antonio at 17319 San Pedro Avenue. A spokesperson for Marriotts International said in a statement to KSAT that Marriott plans on closing two Customer Engagement Center locations, one in San Antonio and the other in Ontario, Canada. The call centers were used to book reservations globally and assist customers with needs during their stays. These closings will affect approximately 480 associates, Marriotts international spokesperson said.
