A man told San Antonio police he was shot while working at a house before he was driven to a clinic on the Southwest Side.

A woman was killed in a rollover crash on Interstate 35 on the Southwest Side, according to San Antonio police.

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified two women who were killed in a crash on Wednesday morning in South Bexar County. Christine Badillo, 28, and Amanda Yvette Jimenez, 30, died at the scene of the crash on Loop 1604 and Benton City Road, between Somerset Road and Interstate 35, authorities said. Officials with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said a vehicle going westbound on Loop 1604 at a high rate of speed began to veer off the side of the road, and when the driver tried to get the vehicle back in the lane, they overcompensated and went into oncoming traffic. The vehicle struck another vehicle that was headed eastbound. It is not clear which vehicle the two passengers were riding in.

SAN ANTONIO – Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in South Bexar County. According to BCSO, a vehicle traveling westbound on Loop 1604 between Somerset Road and Interstate 35 at a high rate of speed began to run off the side of the road, when the driver tried to get back into its lane and overcompensated. The vehicle swerved onto oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle coming in the opposite direction. Two people were dead at the scene, BCSO said. Loop 1604 was closed in both directions for several hours and reopened around 12:40 p.m.

SAN ANTONIO – An 18-wheeler crash forced the shutdown of a stretch of San Antonio highway early Thursday morning. The accident occurred just before midnight Wednesday on Interstate 35 northbound between Somerset Road and Palo Alto Road on the city’s South Side. According to police, the 18-wheeler was headed for the access road when it jackknifed, nearly hitting someone.
