South Texas Blood and Tissue are asking the community who has type-O blood to donate.

The South Texas Blood and Tissue Center is urging donors of all blood types, especially those with Type O, to give blood as the holiday season has made it challenging to meet patients’ needs.

Community members are encouraged to help this holiday season by becoming blood donors on Black Friday at Ingram Park Mall.

Although blood centers across the nation face supply shortages, South Texas Blood And Tissue said they’re prepared to help respond to nationwide tragedies.

After his leukemia diagnosis in 2017, Reg Campbell, a professional photographer, started documenting what he thought would be seven months of treatment. The “Septua” exhibition is on display through December 3 at the San Antonio Center for Photography.
