The Spurs Club at The Rock at La Cantera is now open.

The San Antonio Spurs announced Tuesday that prominent local chef and six-time James Beard Awards nominee Steve McHugh will handle the Spurs Club’s culinary program.

Landrace is a new restaurant by chef Steve McHugh, a James Beard Award finalist also known as San Antonio’s most celebrated chef, who makes everything using ingredients from the Lone Star State.

SAN ANTONIO – He’s been a finalist for the James Beard Award five times. Located adjacent to the new Thompson San Antonio hotel downtown, the restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. If you’re looking to make a dinner reservation, it’s best to book at least a week in advance. Chef McHugh stopped by Market Square to make garganelli pasta with Gulf blue crab.
