The Texas Diaper Bank is urging the community for donations following a recent tornado and flooding in Houston.

Periodpalooza is splitting these donations between four organizations across the city.

Gov. Abbott signed Senate Bill 379 into law this week. It removes the sales tax on certain family care products like diapers, tampons, baby wipes and more.

The Texas Diaper Bank has partnered up with DoorDash to reach clients in an innovative way while saving hundreds of dollars a week.

Texas Diaper Bank is using DoorDash to deliver to individuals within a 10-mile radius of its headquarters at no cost to clients or the organization.

SAN ANTONIO Employees from the Gunn Auto Group on Friday helped sort and pack 18,000 diapers that will be handed out to hundreds of families in San Antonio. Volunteers repackaged diapers from large cases and individually packed them into bags of 25. The diapers were donated by Gunn to the Texas Diaper Bank, which provides diaper assistance to needy individuals with infants and toddlers as well as the elderly and individuals with incontinence issues. The nonprofit has seen a huge increase in demand for diapers during the coronavirus pandemic. The Diaper Bank distributes both direct to client and through 37 partner agencies.
